Now that I am back from maternity leave Kara’s Cure will return to Better Connecticut every Monday at 10 am. We explore ways to Better our Mind Body and Spirit.
This week we explore the Power of Prayer. When I was researching this subject I found several studies that have shown people who are prayed for heal better. You’ll meet Blythe Kaufman a busy West Hartford mom who came down with a rare disease. As a medical professional, she did everything in her scientific power to heal herself…until as she says she finally surrendered and solicited people to pray for her. What happened next is what she calls a miracle.
Hearing her story was inspiring to me especially as it involved people of many faiths. My research found 90 percent of us pray. I thought that was a big number, but after watching this story you may find it’s the best thing you can do for your health.

Prayer request update from my Daughter Leslie about my Grandson Hudson’s leg Friday Feb 19th 2010! So thankful for a great report on Hudson’s hip! The Dr. said his hip is a perfectly healed case that should go in the textbooks. Thank you Jesus! Nahum 1:9
When Hudson was 4 years old he was diagnosed with Legg Pertheas. No long after that Hudson had gotten a new bible and it had pictures in it…Hudsons brought it to his Mom for her to read him a story in Ez 37! It is the story of how God told Ezekial to breath life into the valley of dry bones (this is what happens if you have Legg Pertheas, the blood flow stops and bones and muscles dry uo). W e began to pray EZ 37 over Hudson, he would even bring his bible and ask for us to read it to him.Drs wanted to do surgery many times…if you google this disease it usually reguires surgery. We all began praying for him, they continued with Therapy at home and Dr’s visits too. THe Dr’s kept saying as the hip and leg began healing that this is amazing…My daughter told them no it is a miricale!
Hudson was given a clean bill of health almost 2 years ago when he was 7.
His hip and leg began hurting him a few weeks back and they had told them to bring him back if it ever did. Leslie was given the scripture Nahum 1-9 2 times from different people. We began to pray this over him. And now the rest of the story! Our God is a Good God!!!
